So Carnival is over.
My lil Ash Wednesday holiday is over.

Had a good holiday though. Tuesday night I hung out with Rene, Phillip and Danette until about 11pm. Heh. Let's just say I had an "irie" night. LOL. Twas' cool. Then yesterday morning, I went to mass at 7am and then I came home and got some rest. :o) Then at around 4:45 yesterday evening Danette, Nadja and Paula picked me up and we went all about. Twas' cool as well.

Unfortunately, my stomach is KILLING me now... I got a little break from the pain so I came online for a little bit. (Oh, Im at home btw)

I had a cool night last night...
Spoke to Kat, my Grandma (I miss her loads), spoke to Ren-Ren (*grin*), spoke to Dan and spoke to Trace...
I also watched a LUV-AH-LY episode of RW/RR Challenge (Inferno) and REAL WORLD won that mission! *grin*

Anyhoo... it's Carnival Tuesday... in another couple of hours my misery will be OVER! (Thank the Lord!) Then it will be on to JAMAICA CARNIVAL!!! There's a "Rio Carnival" fete on Friday night at Mas Camp. There'll be DJ's from Trinidad AND Brazil. *grin* You know who will be there right? ME ME ME!!!

Oooh Oooh Oooh... I cannot wait for BEACH Jouvert and regular jouvert... last year I had a BALL!!! Im like getting goosebumps at the thought!

And oooh oooh oooh! Im getting cd's from Leigh and Alicia in a couple days! *grin* And Tracey's coming down on Friday!

*sigh* Im so excited... *tee hee*

In other news... Lesley's down with chicken pox. Poor soul... Les, I'd visit you... but you know... Im not ready for pox yet... now if you'd gotten it in June... LOL... anyway, feel better soon!

Hey Y'all... wassup?
So yesterday turned out to be a good day...

I went out at around 5:45pm with Danette, Christopher and Courtney for supper at Popeyes in Half Way Tree... even though I did not eat. They dropped me home at around quarter to 7. (I had to get home before 7pm because Stephen - Kat's bro - was coming to pick Mary and I up)

Anyway, I packed my stuff when I got home and Mary and I headed up to the Silvera's for Stephen's birthday dinner. Twas' cool and the food... d-i-v-i-n-e!! (OMG... the cake... it was orgasmic... *sigh*)

Kat and I went upstairs at around 10ish to start getting ready for Rhythm and Booze... and then we called everyone to organize a meeting time at Curphey Place. We left Kat's after 11 and picked up Lisa and hurried along to Curphey Place because Danette had called and said that the line to get in was LONG.

Of course, we did NOT join the line... we went straight to the front and pushed our way through. LOL Was the party worth it? Well... not really in terms of the ending time... and the line for the free drinks... but being able to see all my friends I hadn't seen in AGES... that made it worth it.

Anyway, the police came and shut it down at around 3am or so... and then we just milled around chilling and chatting with some drunk guy (that I happen to know from ICHS days lol).

Danette, Christopher, Paula and Courtney decided to go to Village because they weren't ready to go home. Kathryn, Lisa, Tyrone, Stephen W, Stephen S, Andrew and I went to Island Grill to eat. We got there at 3:55. Five minutes before closing time.

Well, Danette called me and insisted that I come to Village... but the others were tired and didn't really want to go... so... Stephen Silvera dropped me off at Village at around 4:20 or so this morning and I met up with Dan and the rest of the posse.

*phew*

My story isn't over yet eh... lol

Danette, Ian (from watever.com) and I went outside because we were supposedly going to drop him home... but we ended up liming outside with David and Andrew (the other watever.com guys) until after 5am.

Then Courtney, Chris and Paula came downstairs when the music was turned off and we limed a little bit more... then we left. We stopped at the gas station so I could get some credit for my phone and we limed there as well. (lol)

I ended up getting home a little after 6am I think... and then I was on the phone with Danette and then Traci so I didn't go to bed until minutes to 7am.

And now... Im sitting here talking to you about it at 3:55pm.

In other news... the daughter of a family friend of my mother's was BRUTALLY murdered in Arima in Trinidad. Her decomposing body was found much to the horror of her parents...

How are you all doing?

Well, let me tell you about the previous night's activities...
After we (Kat, Rent-a-dru and I) left the Hilton, we dropped off Rent-a-dru at home and then Kat and I passed by Yanique Grant's house to pick up invitations for Rythym and Booze tonight.

Then I went to Kat's house to get ready... (Oh, guess who's in town? Stephen! {Kat's bro} *grin*)

(Oh yeah! HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY STEPHEN! *muah* Love you lots... you're like a lil bro to me... )

So... we ended up going to Smirnoff Ice VIP Friday's at Indies... (the 'we' included Kathryn, Stephen S, myself, Mark, Stephen W, Danette, Stephen W's 2 friends, Christopher and Courtney) and we had a ball! *grin* I got home at 4:45am this morning.

So I didn't get to change my cheque today because I didn't get it until 3pm. BUT, Ronaine was my knight in shining armour... *grin* she loaned me the money till Monday. *yay*
PLUS, I got my money order, paid the internet bill AND fed ex'd the documents.

Right now Im still at work... helping out a fellow team member or something like that as well as waiting for Kathryn. Our 'rent-a-man' (Andrew) is in the Cyber Centre waiting on us. We're supposedly going to Smirnoff Ice VIP Friday's at Indies tonight. Hope it'll be cool.

It's overcast outside. *bleh* I SO hope it doesn't rain when I get my cheque...
Why?
Because I have a billion and one things to do today...
I have to go to TWO banks. FCB - to cash my cheque, RBTT - to deposit some dinero and to purchase a money order.
Then I have to go to Anbell to pay the internet bill.
Then I have to go to FedEx and shell out even more money to send off my application and money order to Josef Silny and Associates.

Sigh.
In total I'll be spending almost $10,000 Jamaican. *shivers* I had better go to fricking Miami after all of this.

Anyway, today's the interns last day... :o( Im going to miss them lots... especially Suzanne and Danette. (Of course I'll miss Tamara and Simone too... ) I'm planning to visit them in Bahamas. *grin* (when Im in Miami though cause it's $400 less from there)

For my people in Trinidad... I know Carnival's around the corner and I just want you all to be safe. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful when y'all go out. Don't drink and drive and all that tra la la. Don't want any bad news...

We just had a 15 minute (or more) devotion in the Executive Meeting Room.
Ronaine came up with the idea of having morning devotion so our work day would start off on the right foot.
It was short and sweet.
Unfortunately, I wasn't that much into it because I have other things on my mind... and the ironic thing is that this morning's theme was "Let Go and Let God" and I am still holding on to the very thing that is bothering me.
Sigh.

There are days when I just don't feel right about my life and then there are days when everything seems like it was meant to be.
There are also days when I feel like I'm the black sheep surrounded by the purest and whitest sheep... and then there are days when I feel invisible.

I think I need a dose of Trinidad... what say you?

Anyway, Danette, Kathryn and I had a good talk. We went to Habibi Latino's for drinks and limed out on the balcony. By the way, for my J'can visitors... Habibi Latino's is upstairs Burger King on Knutsford Boulevard and it's really nice.

I think that's about it for now. I'm going to TRY to leave work at a decent hour today.

So Im here... at work... sitting here and waiting...

My choice though.
Uhmm... I originally wanted to leave early today but I got called into Jackie's office at around 4:15pm and did not come out till 5:30pm. *bleh* So of course, I missed my ride from Mom.
Then I decided Id just ask Kathryn to drop me home and I'd work on my new project till she was ready.
Steups.
I didn't do shit.
I chatted with Courtney and Kathryn, followed Danette to her car, chatted with Danette and Joseph, chatted with Andrew and Kathryn, came online, took a walk, read some old emails, chatted with Danette and Joseph some more and the list goes on and on and on...
Sigh.

Oh yeah... Im here waiting on Dan to get off her shift so we can go for a drink. I forgot to mention that didnt I? Right now Kat is on her way to Peppers.

Uhmm... by the way, my story for tonight is that I was working late. So forget all I just mentioned kay? (Im dead serious y'all... if y'all talk I'll be forced to come hunt you down in broad daylight... or even worse, I'll haunt allyuh like I did Kathryn heh heh heh)

So I had a full weekend. Yay me! *grin*

Last night, we went to see Mona Lisa Smile at Carib. Excellent movie with 2 of my favourite actresses: Julia Roberts and Julia Stiles. Two thumbs up.

Anyway, I finally put together the rest of my stuff to complete my appplications for the universities in Miami. Uncle Leroy and Auntie Jennifer will mail them off for me when they get back to Florida.

Speaking of Florida, Mary returns from Fort Lauderdale today. YAY! She bought me something too. *grin*

Ok... I have arisen... the world is now free to relax and go back to living again.
LOL

Anyhoo... yesterday was a great day. (not because it was Valentine's though)

Let's see... what did I do? I went to the hairdresser and treated my hair... and realized that it has grown a lot! *grin* I cannot wait to relax it! Anyway, after that, Kathryn picked me up and we met Danette and Nicola at a clothes store (cant remember the name of it *blush*). Danette had already picked out 2 cute dresses for me... tee hee... she has such great taste... *grin* Anyway, I tried on both dresses and Kat, Nicola and Dan chose the one that looked better on me and I bought it. And guess what? I got a discount! *grin* Wanna know how? BECAUSE I HAD ON MY SPONGEBOB BUTTON!!!!! LOL (All you Spongebob haters... see why spongey rocks?... tsk tsk tsk)

Anyhoo... after my purchase, we all went to Mothers (havent been there since prep school) for lunch. Then Kat and I came to my house so I could pack my stuff to go to her house. We went to her house and watched tv for a while then got ready for Cupid - Juicey's ULTRA All Inclusive Party in Stony Hill.

Now let's talk about Cupid... it was GREAT! I saw people I haven't seen in AGES! Anyway, it was a big group of us that went... it was me, Kat, Dan, Nicola, Andrew, Suzanne, Reynardo, Naja, Robert and his cousin. Renzipoo... you were missed and you would have had a great time... so would you Lisa. :o(

Anyway, I got home after 5 this morning so of course, I didn't go to mass. LOL
I'm going for 6pm this evening. And then we're going to the movies... hopefully. (We as in Kat, Dan, Andrew, Stephen, etc...)

Well... *yawns & stretches* I am finally up... thanks to Beverly waking me up to fix the video for Stephen. *roll eyes* Anyway, Mr. Stephen (my baby bro by the way) gave us a little scare yesterday.

At about 4am yesterday morning, he woke up my other lil bro - John-Mark - to tell him that he was feeling sick. So Johnny went to wake up my mother and by the time they got back to the bedroom Stephen was vomitting all over the bed and pillows. Anyway, he continued vomitting and at around 6am Mom and Dad took him to the hospital.

He was diagnosed with gastro and had to be on the drip for a while. He was still vomitting for a while... but then he stopped. Just in time NOT to be admitted into the hospital.

Now he's MUCH better... thank GOD.

Anyway, my day at work yesterday was a little laid back. Didn't have all that much to do. I was SUPPOSED to Fed Ex a document but of course, I missed the deadline. At least I got 2 things done so that was good.

Kathryn, Danette and I went to see David Heron's play "I'll Be Back Before Midnight" and man... lemme tell ya... it was hilarious. LOL I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyway, AFTER that we were SUPPOSED to go to Mas Camp for the 1st carnival fete... but... there was a drastic change of plans and it ended up just being me and Kat.

Well... we didn't go Mas Camp but we went to Village and had a BALL!! It's been a while since Kathryn and I went out by ourselves and it was luv-ah-ly. :o)

Oh... before I continue... Happy Valentine's Day people. Hope it's a good one. And... last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AYANNA BANANA!!!! Love you lots! Glad you're enjoying your day. :o)

Ok... back on track... I'll be going to the hairdresser today (it's been a while) and then I'm going shopping for later. *yay!*

How could I forget to mention this???

LOL

So I was sitting in my usual chair at Kat's house on Monday night and who should plop down beside me? DANETTE with her tiny self. LOL. Of course she wiggled in and put her legs on top of mine... so I had to end up sitting in MY chair with her all night.

(at least she kept me warm... lol)

Anyway... just want her to know I'll miss her loads when she goes back to Nassau. And no D, I won't forget about you... I promise to come visit when Im in Miami ok?

I realize I haven't posted here in a long while... since Sunday to boot!

Anyway... right now Im at home... resting... because I've been sick since last week as you all know. Besided the flu that Im currently battling, I've been suffering from the attack of the reds... and it's a heavy duty battle... trus mi.

I've been so moody and stuff for the past few days... I think this attack is the worst of all I've ever had... Im feeling extremely weak and drained. Ick.

Oh! As Im listening/watching Sean-Paul on MTV I have to say congrats to him for winning a grammy! He's come a LOOOOOOOONG ass way. Props to him. Big props. By the way, Jodi aka Jinx looked quite nice at the grammies. She's come a long way too. LOL (For those LUSTING after Sean... Jodi is his WIFEY *sticks out tongue*)

Anyway... I watched Johnny English (with Rowan Atkinson) for the first time at Kathryn's on Monday night and I must say... even though it was hilarious, I'm glad I didn't watch it in the cinema. By the way, I got home at 2:32am that night... *gasp* Im lucky to be alive. LOL Anyway, it was a cool lime. Danette, Stephen W, Andrew, Courtney, Tyrone, Lisa and Kenisha were there.

Errr... let's see... Im feeling to shoutout some people...

Wow... for a sick person... I've had QUITE the weekend.
I am at home right now on account of the fact that I got in at 4am this morning... plus the fact that I am coughing and wheezing at the same time.

Anyways... let me tell you all about yesterday. I was awakened by Andrew at 11:30am... *steups* I was not amused because I was not ready to get up having had gotten home earlier that morning. Anyway... I lazed around for most of the day and stuff...

Later on in the evening we (i.e. Kathryn, Danette, Andrew, Stephen W and Stephen S (Kat's bro) decided to go and watch Gothika at Carib. We got there late and ended up having to sit in the 3rd row... so you know how that went. Anyway... afterwards we didn't know what we were doing so I decided I'd go home and get the key for the new padlock on the gate. So Kat and Stephen S came with me and chilled at my house until about 11:30pm (when we got the call from Dan to meet them (Stephen W and Andrew) at the Esso Gas Station in Liguanea. There, we decided that we were gonna watch Stephen W race somewhere in Portmore. (note this was after midnight) So we drove somewhere in Portmore... (I have no idea where).

Anyway... after waiting at some closed gas station for an hour or more Kat got fed up and we decided to ride out. So we ended up in New Kingston and decided to go check David Boothe at work (i.e. Hilton). While we were there wondering what to do... Danette calls and says they're on their way... meet them at Quad.

So... they met Kat and I at the Hilton and then we walked over to Quad. By that time it was around 2:15 or sumn and we just basically chilled outside for about 45 minutes... (cyan bodda get inna details right ya now...) After liming there for a lil while we all decided we'd go eat some Island Grill. (3:15am)

Anyway... after a long night we decided to call it quits...

Twas a good night.

Well... Im here... at home... trying to think of what to do with the rest of my day while talking to TracEY, TracI and Marcha.

Anyway, I was MAJORLY stressed out yesterday after I posted that's why I didn't post later on in the day.
Man! Can I tell you my chest was tight the whole fucking day? Steups. On top of that I had cramps, gas AND this nasty ass flu.

Things went okay last night... it could have been worse. Much worse.

After our thing at work, Kathryn, Danette, Lisa, Kalima, Jonelle, Sloane, Steven, Andrew, Tyrone, Naja, Paula and Nicole all went to RE Unplugged's Tribute to Bob Marley @ Weekendz. When we got there, Roots Underground was on the stage... (the band that had left us high and dry @ the Hilton earlier)... I won't lie... that lead singer... Stephen... he sounds like Bob Marley.

Anyway, the highlight of my Weekendz lime was seeing Mile High perform. Can I tell you... fucking goosebumps for the ENTIRE performance! Dyamn! Kat, Lise and I saw the lead singer (Tessa Chin) a little while after and we spoke to her. She's REAL down to earth... and she has this funky style of dress. They'll be big. I guarantee that.

Anyway... after their performance the vibes kinda died so a lot of people left. So we just mingled for a while... and stuff. Then Danette was tired so she decided she wanted to leave... so then all of us left and while Dan, Paula and Sloane went home (Naja too), the rest of us went across the road to Priscilla's. (An older crowd's liming spot... like 40's and over eh lol)

Anyway... so it was me, Kat, Lise, Nicole, Andrew, Steven and Tyrone that went. We danced for a little and then decided to play a game of "Spin the bottle" (the TRUTH version)... man, did I find out some stuff! *gasp* LOL

Anyway... to end it all... I got home at around 4am this morning... and now... my voice is G-O-N-E. (thanks to that shot of white rum - which i took to clear my head- and screaming for Mile High)
