Clubbing and birthdays...
So I just got back from this club in Fort Lauderdale called the ART BAR. I went with Gus, Rachel, Regine and Salintae and it was OFF THA CHAIN!!! Whoo! I had fun! Rachel is such a great dancer! So's my roomie! I met this guy tonight... a potential sugah daddy (lol). His name's Bill and he's from Chicago. Him gimme some lyrics yuh see! Lawd ah mercy! LOL. He bought me two glasses of the top red wine in the club. *wow* We danced for a little bit too... he's a cool dancer, for an old guy. LOL. Anyway... it was great and the BEST part was that I spent ZERO dollars! Whoo Hoo!!
Anyway, today is my bestest friend in the whole universe's birthday... guess who that is...

A Close Call... logically...
So I got back my Maths test today and the grade I got TOTALLY shocked me. I got a freaking 65% (D+)!!! I was so mad! I usually get one of the higher scores in that class... along with Nick and this older guy... and we all got bad grades. Nick failed... and the older guy also got 65%. It was like a parallel universe... weird. Anyway, he's dropping the lowest grade and he told me don't worry about it because it wouldn't affect my A. Man.. I was like PHEW!!!!
Anyway, I am MAD sleepy... so I'm about to go to bed.
Oh yeah... I'm not going to Maryland anymore... *sniffle* I'm dumb tight. *sigh* I'm going to try and make it to New York sometime to see Lynmerie and Monifa. I don't know when I'll see Alicia though. *sadface*

Dorm chaos and dinner...
So on my way back to the dorms I get a call...
What was the call about?
Well... I was informed that Anastasiya, Nerissa, Tiffany, Lindsay and Everica were all moving out of their rooms or switching roommates. Heh. More chaos... just what Gi needs. Anyway, we'll see how well that lasts. I can't be bothered to go into all the details... high school drama if you ask me.
Anyhoo... I went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse with Dusan, Rachel and Sam. I had mad fun! *smile* The waitress was flirting with Dusan like crazy! LOL. It was hilarious! Rachel and I were cracking up... LOL. We had a good time. Too bad Dusan's leaving tomorrow... or later. I really thought I was going to cry because of how sad Dusan looked. Poor thing... he really loves Rachel and Rachel really loves him.
Well... right now I'm talking to Danielle (hey chica!) and I'm about to go edit my English paper, so...

And the stress begins...
After an enjoyable weekend with friends, I returned to my "third" home - Cascia Hall, with a fresh outlook for the upcoming week's events.
Unfortunately, yesterday evening, due to not eating properly, I got a nasty headache and so, at 5:30pm, I took 2 advils and climbed wearily into bed. I asked my darling roomie to awaken me at 8pm. And she did. Unfortunately, the effects of the medicine still had not worn off and I went right back into dreamland for 2 more hours. All this time I had an upcoming Logics test and an English Paper looming in my thoughts.
When I woke at 10pm, I heard that many people were looking for me, including Roojay and Marianne. Roojay wanted me to study with her for our Logics test and Marianne wanted me for English. So, I did what any person would do. I did both. At around 11:15pm I began to type my English paper (after tarrying for 45 minutes to watch RW/RR Battle of the Sexes on MTV *blush* and to think of a good topic for my paper). I was supposed to start studying for Maths at midnight with Natasja and then return to my room to finish the paper. Of course, it did not happen like that. I typed and typed until about 12:30 and then went into Natasja's room to get her... then we got distracted by a Fresh Prince re-run on Nick @ Nite. Damn that show. (lol)
At around 1:15am, we bundled up and went with water bottles in tow to the Law School "breezeway" to study. And study we did. In the chill of the early morning. We finished at around 2:40 and got back to the dorm at around 2:50. I bid Natasja good night and returned to typing my paper. After getting stuck at some points, I called my saviour - Traci. Luckily she couldn't sleep so she helped me get some points out and onto the paper. (Babe, I'm really thankful... trust me!) And after showering, finishing up the paper and emailing a copy to my professor, I climbed into my bed at 5:45 am this morning. Yes, 5 freaking 45 am this morning. I fell asleep at 6am.

Yep, I got up at 7:45am this morning to change my clothes, wash my face and go to breakfast. When I walked into English class this morning at 8:30, Dr. Montes decided to use class as an opportunity to either hand in the paper, go over the paper individually or with a classmate or to show him the paper. So I did the latter. Of course, he was impressed. (Roojay, shut your ass up about teacher's pet... LOL) But he said there was still room for improvement and he said I could turn in the paper on Thursday morning. *smile*
As for the Maths test... hmmph! We'll see how that goes when I get the results. I hope Roojay and Sam do well.
As for T.V. Drama... well, that's another story. I really hope I don't fail that class. In today's class we were watching part 2 of "12 Angry Men". For our next class (which is Thursday) we may have a quiz or some kind of graded essay. Heh. Wish me luck with that venture. Thankfully, Melissa lent me her notes and I found a website with an incredible review on the teleplay/film.
After all that, I went to lunch and then went to sleep at 1:30pm and slept until 3:45. Yes, I was 15 minutes late for work. Sue me. (lol)
And now... here I am. I'm finished work now... (it's 7:38) and I need to go to the Religious section of the library to find some books on Rastafarianism.

So it's been a good weekend...
I FINALLY went to Macaroni Grill for dinner with Traci, Kat and my surprise ---> RICH! *grin* Rich is Kat (sorry, Katrina's) friend orginally from England, who now resides in South Beach and studies medicine at the posh University of Miami campus. He's mad funny yo! (Roojayism LOL) Anyway, after dinner (which was great by the way), we went to Blockbuster to rent a movie to watch at Kat and Matt's. After much deliberation, we left Blockbuster with the "teen chick flick" Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan.
Before I continue talking about the weekend, I have to explain my topic. Traci-isms refer to the "Jessica-esque" comments that Traci makes at random moments. LOL. "Jessica-esque", of course, refers to the great, dumb, Jessica Simpson. So, while standing in the line at Blockbuster, Traci sees a pack of Laffy Taffy candy and she asked "Is Laffy Taffy the candy that makes you laugh?" LOL LOL LOL Can I tell you, I was almost on the floor!! LOL LOL LOL Of course, I ran to find Kat and Rich. It was too hilarious to pass up.
Well... you kinda had to be there.
A while ago... I asked Traci why doesn't she change the date of her flight to go home. She then tells me "I have a two-way ticket".

Anyway, back to my night out with Kat and Rich. So we went back to Kat's place and watched Mean Girls and then Saved with Mandy Moore while drinking Chardonnay. *yummy* Then we played Smash Brothers on Jesse's gamecube. Fun! We got back to FIU at 4am yesterday morning.
Fun times!
Anyway, guess who I'm going to see in a few weeks? DANETTE! *grin* I'm so excited! She's been on my mind a lot and she's coming to Miami for 2 weeks before she goes to Jamaica. *grin*

Monday was Vanessa's birthday and I feel so bad because I didn't call, didn't email or didn't mail her anything. I'll have to make it up to her.
Anyway... I'm at work and as I type... Cheraton, Salintae, Natasja, Rachel and Anastaysia are at the flea market (I think). Hope they're having fun. I unfortunately missed Sam's race because no one bothered to wake me up. Oh well... I'm sure she did well.
Guess what? I FINALLY spoke with Felicia (and Nicole... sort of)!!! I'm so happy! I almost cried when Fe picked up the other line. I was getting ready to leave my millionth voice mail and she answered! *grin* I unfortunately only had 10 minutes left on the card... *pout* They didn't even know I was at university... Ms. Leal, you're not doing your job! LOL. Maelle will have to take over from you! Hmmph...

Rest and Relaxation...
So I didn't go to any classes yesterday. (Before y'all buff me or cuss me out, here's the reason why.) On Wednesday night, Salintae and I decided to re-arrange our room. The process took 2 LONG hours and at the end of it I was in a bit of pain and my sinuses decided to act up. So, at 3am in the morning, I decided to take 2 Nyquil tablets. Boy was I wrong. When the alarm went off at 7:15am on Thursday morning, I turned it off and went back to sleep, aiming to go to my next class at 9:55. Psssh... the alarm went off again and again, I got up and turned it off. The same thing happened the third time the alarm went off. I felt like crap... I felt like a car or truck had run over me.
When I eventually got up at around 12:35 or so... I felt much better. I had a pain in my elbow though. (It's gone now)
I actually feel refreshed and recharged. I can study properly now...
Since I've been at St. Thomas, I've missed 3 English classes, 3 T.V. Drama classes, 2 World of Religion classes and 2 Maths classes. I haven't missed any Society and Mass Media classes. Damn... that's a lot of classes... that's 10 in all! Okay... I'm definitely not missing anymore... Damn, those things add up!
Anyway, gonna go chill for a bit and then study later.

I think this is one of the worst days ever in American history...
A silly man... RE-ELECTED as president of the United States. Why are these people so silly? Don't they realize what he has done? Don't they see the need for change in leadership? I just pray that no other attacks happen. Especially while I'm in this country.
I'd just like to "big-up" John Kerry and John Edwards for a wonderful campaign and for trying his very best and for showing the nation an alternative to jackass-ness. "If at first you don't succeed... try, try again." <--- I'm a firm believer in that quote.
Anyway... in other news... I spoke to Jonathan!!! *grin* I miss him SO much! He's still working in the cruise ship industry and he's having a blast while working hard. Here's a sexy ass pic of my boy... (he's on the extreme right)

Anyway, hey people! Welcome to NOVEMBER aka (Noviembre/Novembre)... can you believe in 6 weeks I would have completed my first semester of college? Amazing... it's been an interesting ride... and I look forward to Spring 2005.
Anyway, I got back my paper that I wrote on the last Presidential Debate for my Society and Mass Media class and I got an A! Whoo hoo!! I didn't think I'd get an A since I'm not too versed on some of the topics that were discussed. I'm proud of myself.
Speaking of Presidential Debates... tomorrow is the official day to vote here... and I'm hoping the better man wins. I won't say who I want for fear of the wrong eyes seeing my post... but you all should know who I would vote for if I could.
